Introduction And Meaning Of Job analysis

Job analysis is the process of analyzing the content and nature of certain job by gathering the details such as duties, responsibilities, required skills and qualification etc. The main objective of job analysis is to collect job related information that helps the management in human resource planning process. It is important to prepare job description, job specification and job evaluation report.

Objectives Of Job Analysis

The main objectives of job analysis can be highlighted as follows:

Job analysis provides in-depth information about the job that helps the management to forecast manpower needs in the organization. Therefore it is a foundation of human resource planning.
